When you said that Federation was TREASON

I would like to dedicate the following article to the cadres of the Democratic Rally (DISY) and its spokespeople, who are trying hard to convince us of the God-sent, treacherous solution of a federation, according to them. I would also like to make a special mention to its supporters - voters, who, blinded by patriotic words and cheap theatrics, tend to still trust this particular party.
The well-formulated line of DISY on the basis of what is supposedly feasible, as they themselves justify it, is the federation. A federation that they strongly supported in 2004 in the Annan plan, which was a gravestone for Cypriot Greekism.
They vigorously defend an unachievable, treacherous, impermissible solution, which violates not only human rights but also the historical rights of our people, in the land of our ancestors. And to justify their treacherous mistakes, they declare with peacock pride that a federal system exists in many countries and functions flawlessly, without any problems whatsoever.
Some others, even more intelligent, who have the audacity to sell excessive patriotism, rush to identify the countries and give Germany as the main example. With them, because they belong to another political space and their president to ALL political parties, I will not deal here because they have no place in this specific article.
The federation, which they all defend, is applied as a state system of governance of a country, for its better functioning, where this is necessary. However, the countries that implement federation do so within their own borders and among their indigenous, native inhabitants. That is, among fellow nationals.
What they criminally conceal from the people, misinforming them, is the fact that in any countries where there were ethnic, religious and other differences, these fell into a huge bloodbath.
As an example of failed federations, which they never mention, are Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Pakistan, Nigeria and others. Because some people like recent history, they can even take Belgium as an example, which is divided into four federal states, Brussels, Flemish, Walloon and German. In Belgium as in Cyprus, some are trying by force to create a new Nation through virgin birth. Why does none of the learned politicians, devotees of the federation solution, mention the enormous problems that exist in Belgium and in its functionality?
Quite close to the Cypriot reality is the example of the former Yugoslavia, where there was an ethnic and religious division between Christians and Muslims. Its outcome awakens nightmares, which should shake the very foundations of the "palace" of Pindar.
Who believes that with the treacherous solution of the federation, the ties between Greeks and Turks will change radically and Turkey will put an end to its expansionist plans? Who believes that Cyprus will be an exception to federations with ethnic divisions? The daily life and what Ankara does, but also its own minions, the “government” of the occupied, prove the complete opposite in practice. Unfortunately, some are performing dangerous stunts and gambling with the future of our people.
However, above, I made reference to the word treason. A very heavy word and accusation that no one should and cannot unleash “lightly”. However, I did so with full awareness of the word, using the words of their political mentor and leader. Therefore, before some rush to accuse me, let them first do so for their own leader.
On August 12, 1974, during bilateral talks, as recorded in the book by Turkish journalist Mehmet Ali Birat, "Decision - Landing", and while Denktash was addressing Glafkos Clerides, regarding the amendment of the 1960 Constitution and the creation of a Federal Government, after the latter read the proposals, he smiled bitterly.
Denktash then responded to Clerides by saying: “You(!!!) didn’t think that the Federation would be useful? Why are you afraid?” Clerides then responded: “If I accept it, I cannot return to Nicosia. I will have betrayed my people(!!!).” And continuing, he emphasizes that “this plan will not be for the benefit of Cyprus.”
Today, DISY not only betray their people, but they also return to Nicosia without a trace of indignation, presenting their every new National retreat and humiliation as a great achievement.
But that is not enough. Subsequently, they run around with patriotic false masks and cheap, hollow, tearful national speeches, to exploit the struggles of the heroes by desecrating their memory. To gain a few votes, they are being ugly, committing the greatest abomination. Ridiculous leaders and politicians who, instead of remaining silent and respecting the sacrifices of the young men who died for everything they are selling out all at once today, have the audacity to speak.
They should keep in mind that, for a man, it is always ridiculous to promote his ancestors if he has not done actions that deserve him in relation to them. Worthy ancestors only presuppose worthy actions and not lowly political and anti-national actions.
I will close with a slogan that haunts the thoughts of the Alarmists, when heard it brings to their mind a group of proud individuals, some children in black, who cannot subjugate their free spirits:
Shame, shame federalists, the heroes died for Greek Cyprus
